Whales can appreciate chartreuse

Oh hay lookie there. I am finally caught up with what I did before I started this whole blogging shebang. Neato.

So, here's the low down that happened today, May 24th...

Basically, the Phentermine insomnia thing finally caught up with me after staying awake until 2am. I slept in kind of a lot and it was already 9:30am by the time I finally woke up--a little too late for a morning run. By then, the sun was already up and a blazin'. Ain't nobody got time for 90 degree weather right now.
Also, my mother insisted that we go to Kohl's and get me new underwear. Score?

So after the daily phentermine and a...*cringe*....donut (okay, okay, i caved. But in my defense I haven't eaten a donut it more than three months and even longer before that.)  off to the store I go to try and walk some of that off....

After purchasing a special savings combo pack of Hane's, I moseyed on over to the active wear department to see what they had on sale.
Right away I found bright, obnoxious, neon shade of blue skintight running pants with a matching tank top and sports bra. It reminded me of what all the hot gym bitches at school wear all the time compared to my ever so sexy sweaty old t-shirt and paint stained sweatpants combo.
I had to have them. In the cart they go. Because how can I pass up a 40% discount?
Soon after, a bright even more obnoxious chartreuse sports bra catches my eye. I mean, how could it not? it looked like it was trying to land an airplane. Also on the 40% off clearance rack, it also makes it way into my cart, because if I were to wear just one sports bra running I know that my nipples are gonna be on the war path to try and poke someones eye out through the brightly colored spandex. Doubling up on the sports bras, mateys.

After coming home and doing the last of my blog catch up and eating a half turkey, provolone and a dash of mayo sandwich with grapes and strawberries, I put on my fancy new running get up and check out my sweet bod in the mirror.
Hm, not quite like the gym girls yet, but its a step in the right direction.
Then around 8:30pm I was off down the block for run #3. This time, alternating between walking and running every block instead of yesterday's mostly walking with an occasional jog, I made it even further in the half an hour block I allotted myself. This time I was able to go an extra two blocks to make a total of about two and a half miles--another half mile and I'm doing 5k!

Im not sure if this a proven fact or not since I'm not an expert or anything, but I feel like my cool new get up was partially to blame. Not only did I feel like I looked a little bit cooler, I actually was cooler in the sense of not being super effin hot the whole time. The dumb free t-shirts I got at some "come join my club" fair at school soaked up so much sweat I could almost ring them out. And I didn't even know how much fabric affected my "aerodynamics" until I ran with the mesh-y like tank with all the little holes in it to let air pass though to cool my core and keep the saggy t-shirt armpits from dragging me so much.
And here I am thinking those kinds of outfits were just to look obnoxious so that drivers don't run you over if you're in the middle of the street.
But after doing a little bit of research...okay, i read it in Cosmo once like a year ago...bright neon colors tend to make you feel motivated and be more inclined to work out versus cooler tones that calm you. I suppose it makes some sense, I would run away too if I had to wear those colors all the time.

After I was done and I came inside the house, my sister, bless her lil' heart, said "oooh you're all glowing and dewy."
Dewy, eh? Wayyy better than huffy drenched mess. I think I made a little progress there.

Then my mom brought home a pizza.
Nooooooooooo resist, resist, RESIST!
...I had three pieces....but with water!
oh well, better luck tomorrow.

Now I'm just in bed hoping that this insomnia thing doesn't happen again tonight after I post this....fingers crossed, everyone.

For today's grade, I present myself
exercise: A-
Food: D-

Goodnight, sleep tight, and don't let the insomnia bite!
